TexERP

Built it all by myself

The system a textile factory runs on. What came in, what is being made right now, where it is, and what shipped, with the machines on the floor reporting into it directly.

What it does

The short version

  • Follows every roll of cloth from raw yarn to the customer's delivery note, including the trips out to dyeing and back.
  • Machines report their own figures, so what the computer says matches what is actually on the shelf.
  • Covers sales, quotes, production planning, purchasing, quality control, warehousing and shipping in one place.
  • Designed, built and delivered single-handedly, and still in daily use.

Built with

The tools underneath. You do not need to know what any of these are; they are here for anyone who does.

This one runs inside a company, so there is no public link to show you. I would rather say that than point you at something that isn’t there. Happy to walk you through it on a call.

If you are technical, there is a full engineering write-up of this project, covering how it is put together and which decisions were genuinely hard.
